Refund Policy
The short version. Pro subscriptions are refundable within 14 days of your first payment, no questions asked. Pay-per-file purchases are non-refundable because the value is delivered instantly, with one exception: if a technical failure on our side stopped you from opening the file you bought access to, email us within 7 days and we will refund the purchase. Free-tier use is, of course, free.
1. Free tier
The free tier does not involve a payment. There is nothing to refund. If you signed up for a paid plan and never used it, see the section for that plan below.
2. Pay-per-file ($4.99)
A Pay-per-file purchase grants watermark-free access to a single Excel workbook for 30 days. The product is delivered the instant you complete checkout, and the file is parsed in your browser without any server upload. For that reason, Pay-per-file purchases are generally non-refundable.
The single exception.If a technical failure on our side made it impossible for you to open the file you purchased access to — for example, the WebAssembly engine failed to initialize, our servers were unreachable so we could not verify your entitlement, or the parser crashed before producing a graph — email billing@sheetlens.app within 7 days of the purchase with:
- Your order number (in the receipt email from Lemon Squeezy).
- The date and approximate time of the failure.
- A short description of what happened, and your browser + OS.
We will investigate, and if the failure is confirmed on our side we will issue a full refund through Lemon Squeezy. We typically respond within 2 business days and the refund itself appears on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
We do not issue refunds because you decided you did not need the audit after seeing the output, because you bought access to the wrong file, or because you forgot to renew before the 30-day window expired.
3. Pro subscription ($9 / month)
14-day money-back on the first month
If you are within 14 days of your first Pro payment and decide SheetLens is not for you, email billing@sheetlens.app with your order number and we will refund that month in full. This applies to the first payment on a new account; it does not apply to renewals of an account that has already been paid for at least one full month.
Cancellation
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the billing section of your account. Cancellation prevents the next charge and keeps Pro features active until the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate cancellations during a month already paid for.
Renewals
Renewals are not automatically refundable once charged. If you were charged for a renewal you did not intend, email billing@sheetlens.app within 3 business days of the renewal date and, as a goodwill measure, we will refund the renewal in full if you have not used the Service that period. This is a one-time courtesy per account.
Material price changes
If we increase the price of your existing Pro subscription and you choose not to continue, you may request a pro-rated refund of any unused portion of the billing period you have already paid for.
4. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy reduces refund or withdrawal rights you have under your local consumer-protection law — including the EU / UK 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services, the California statutory refund rules, or 特定商取引法 (Act on Specified Commercial Transactions) rights for users in Japan. If your local law gives you a stronger right than this policy describes, that stronger right applies.
5. Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback through your bank, please email us at billing@sheetlens.app. We almost always resolve billing issues directly and faster than a chargeback would. Disputes filed without prior contact may, at our discretion, result in suspension of the account pending resolution.
